DETROIT LAKES, Minn. -- Motorists on Highway 75 north of Moorhead near Oakport Township are urged to use caution and slow down as flood preparations and activities pick up in the area.
As Oakport Township officials close local area roads and limit access, residents and visitors to the area should park along the west side of Highway 75, according to a news release from the state Department of Transportation. No-parking signs will be posted along the east side of Highway 75.
Motorists should watch for parked vehicles along the highway, slow moving traffic and pedestrians.
