A 20-year-old Carrington, N.D., man has been charged in Foster County District Court in connection with a traffic incident Sunday that left another Carrington man dead.
Charges against Joshua Alan Sherman include manslaughter, escape, leaving the scene of an accident involving death and being in actual physical control of a vehicle while under the influence.
Sherman was driving on a gravel road about 12:15 a.m. Sunday when his pickup truck struck James Alan Beri, 20, who was riding a bike, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
Beri was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sherman, who was arrested following the incident, was released after posting bail, which was set by the court at $1,000 cash.
