The Fargo Moorhead Chess Association conducted a rated chess tournament Nov. 15 at West Fargo High School. Players were divided into two sections, those with more than 1200 rating points and those rated less than 1200, including unrated players.
The "Above 1200" section ended in a three-way tie between John Leitel, Moorhead, Lynn Adams, Barrett, Minn., and Scott Vanderbeek, Sebeka, Minn.
In the "Under 1200" group, Seth Diekman, Fargo, placed first. Per Jensen, West Fargo, and Sidath Wijetunga, Fargo, tied for second place.
