MOORHEAD - Churches United for the Homeless is opening its doors for public tours from 1 to 4 p.m., Sunday, April 30 at 1901 First Ave. N.

As tours can be invasive to guests in crisis, group tours are typically not an option. Therefore, Churches United for the Homeless holds this event every other year for interested people to see the dorms, family rooms, lounges and other areas typically not open to the public. This insider's view showcases the work that is giving people experiencing homelessness the tools to move into affordable, stable housing.

Churches United for the Homeless (CUFH), the largest multi-demographic homeless shelter in northwestern Minnesota, was formed in 1987.
