City of Lincoln, ND, under boil order

InForum News Brief FSA

LINCOLN, N.D. — The city of Lincoln is under a boil order.

According to a post on the city's Facebook page, test of the city's water supply showed it was potentially contaminated with disease-causing micro-organisms.

It was caused by sediment passing through the city's new water supply line.

The line was tested back in mid-December, but was only put into service last week.

Before you use the water, make sure to boil it for a full minute.

Only bottled water should be used for preparing infant formula.

The city said it will continue to check and monitor it's water distribution system.

The microorganisms can cause diarrhea, cramps, nausea and headaches.

If you experience one or more of these symptoms, contact your doctor.

This is a developing story.
