A five-week citizen academy on the operations of federal agencies is being offered to senior citizens in the Fargo-Moorhead area.
The class will be put on by Valley TRIAD, an organization dedicated to educating senior citizens about safety issues, in cooperation with the metro police departments and sheriffs' departments.
The free course is titled "Federal Agencies and You" and will run from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday mornings beginning April 16.
The first session will be at the Public Safety Building, 4630 15th Ave. N., Fargo.
The remaining sessions will take place at the Hjemkomst Center, 202 1st Ave. N., Moorhead.

The course will address the different roles federal agencies play in the area. Agencies being discussed include the FBI, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the North Dakota Bureau BCI and Border Patrol.
