Several hundred Clay County residents lost power in two separate incidents Tuesday morning and evening.
Xcel Energy spokeswoman Bonnie Lund said about 500 customers in Glyndon were affected by an electric outage at 4:55 p.m. Its cause is unknown.
A downed overhead line caused the outage and all customers' service was restored by 9 p.m.
A blown fuse prompted Tuesday morning's outage, affecting residents of Comstock, Sabin and Wolverton. The outage lasted from 6:35 to 8:15 a.m., Lund said.
Crews suspect the morning outage may have been wind-related, Lund said. When the wind slaps power lines together, it can sometimes cause fuses to blow, she said.
