The North Dakota Department of Transportation will close northbound Interstate 29 from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. today, Wednesday and Thursday nights to set beams and build a canopy under the new eastbound I-94 bridge over I-29.
The detour for the closing will exit northbound I-29 traffic onto eastbound I-94, exit I-94 at 25th Street, take it north to the loop ramp for westbound I-94, then back to the northbound I-29 exit.
Also starting today, eastbound I-94 will be completely open from the I-29 on-ramp to Fargo's South University Drive. The opening represents the completion of all the scheduled highway rehabilitation work on I-94 between the Red River and I-29.
The only remaining closures on I-94 between the Red River and I-29 will be the driving lanes both directions between the Red River and University Drive for continued work on the sound wall project.
