Search committees will consider 16 applicants for chancellor of the North Dakota University System and nearly 30 applicants for each of two president positions.
The application deadline for chancellor and presidencies at Mayville State University and North Dakota State College of Science was Sunday.
Twenty-nine people have applied for the Mayville State job, including Fargo attorney Craig Richie and interim Mayville State president Gary Hagen.
The opening at North Dakota State College of Science has 25 applicants, including interim president John Richman. Harvey Link, a vice president at NDSCS, and Jerry Migler, provost at Minnesota State Community and Technical College, also have applied.
Chancellor applicants with apparent North Dakota ties are Hoeven aide Bill Goetz and Jonathan Sickler, former student member of the state Board of Higher Education.
