MOORHEAD - Concordia College Director of Theatre Jim Cermak announced he will retire at the end of the 2011-12 school year.

As a nod to the outgoing director and his late wife, Helen, who died nearly two years ago, the schedule will consist of plays directed by the Cermaks.

The season opens in October with the comedy "The Foreigner," followed in November by the musical "Grease."

A new adaptation of the Cyrano de Bergerac classic love story, "Cyrano," is featured in February. Tennessee Williams' "Camino Real" closes out the season next April and Cermak's tenure of 40 years teaching, directing, and advising at Concordia College.
