Concordia outside hitter Michelle Honek's transformation from frantic freshman to stellar senior reached an all-time high on Wednesday.
Honek pounded out 19 kills and became the No. 12-ranked Cobbers career digs leader in a 30-26, 30-26, 30-23 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference victory against Augsburg before 184 fans at Memorial Auditorium.
"She does a great job of looking at what role the team needs," said Concordia coach Tim Mosser, whose team has dropped one game during a four-match winning streak. "Then she does it. She could have been our go-to player for three years. But that's a great testament to her unselfishness. She's always been a team player."
