WEST FARGO -- A construction worker here fell out of the basket of a forklift while working on the roof of a three-story apartment building and is now in the hospital, police said.
Chad Miller, 25, of West Fargo was riding in the basket of a forklift about 3:45 Tuesday afternoon at 815 34th Ave. E. when other construction workers tried to reposition the forklift and it tipped over, said Ryan Denis, an officer with the West Fargo Police Department.
The man then fell onto another forklift, “and a load of shingles ended up landing on top of him,” Denis said. The roofer was taken to Essentia Health “with significant leg and arm injuries.”
