The Metro Area Transit station in downtown Fargo was locked down for 2½ hours and buses were rerouted Thursday - all because of a container of milk.
The milk was left in a box outside on the southeast corner of the building.
Someone saw the suspicious package and called police, who then alerted the Red River Valley Bomb Squad.
"We always want to err on the side of caution," said Fargo police Lt. Patrick Claus.
The bomb squad secured the box, transported it and did a controlled detonation to find that the box contained milk.

The MAT buses were rerouted to the north side of the building.
