Prairie Restorations and the Fargo Forestry Department plan to conduct a controlled burn Thursday morning in the prairie area of the city's Xeriscape Demonstration Garden.
The garden is located outside the Fargo Water Treatment Plant at the corner of 13th Avenue South and Fourth Street.
The burn is dependent on favorable weather conditions, including wind speed, temperature and humidity.
Prairie Restorations staff will be on site to ensure a safe and successful burn, which is designed to remove weeds and stimulate growth of existing native plants.
