BISMARCK - A Fargo man convicted of killing his girlfriend 24 years ago will be released to a transitional living center here in November for at least a year, the state Parole Board has decided.

The board will review the status of Adam Dilger next August.

"If it looks like he needs to stay longer, they might amend it," said Patrick Bohn, a deputy clerk to the Parole Board.

Dilger pleaded guilty in January 1982 to shooting Katherine Hall to death with a shotgun after a night of drinking. He was 53 at the time of the Nov. 18, 1981, incident, and is 78 now.
