MINOT, N.D. - Ward County commissioners on Tuesday plan to discuss the name of the river that loops down from Canada through north central North Dakota.
Some call it the Souris, others the Mouse. In Canada, it's called the Souris, but on some North Dakota maps it's called the Mouse.
A group of Minot-area residents has asked the County Commission to set the record straight, and the commission has added the matter to the meeting agenda.
