Two people involved in a counterfeit money scheme in December were sentenced Friday in federal court. The couple pleaded guilty in April.

Paul Timothy Thacker, 23, will serve time in a halfway house, and his wife, Libby Injong Thacker, 27, will be confined to the couple's home at 512 Highway 75 N. in Moorhead.

In a federal indictment, the Thackers were charged with printing fake $20 bills. Police records say a search of their home produced $2,500 in counterfeit bills.

The Thackers faced a maximum sentence of five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
