A credit card scam targeting women who chat online is under investigation by the Cass County Sheriff's Department.
The scam involves thieves who ask to use their victim's address as a drop-off point for property they say is headed to Africa.
The person responsible for the scam tells the victim the property can't be shipped directly to Africa.
The Sheriff's Department said the thieves are targeting women who might be living alone and looking for someone to chat with.
