Chicago Cubs shortstop Starlin Castro was questioned by Dominican Republic authorities in connection with a Saturday morning nightclub shooting, according to ESPN Deportes.
It was initially reported that Castro was arrested but he was apparently only questioned.
A police spokesperson said that some people close to Castro were involved in the shooting. One of the persons shot is in serious condition, according to the report.
Castro was linked to a shooting in the Dominican Republic earlier this month, but he was cleared of any wrongdoing.
