The 1984 Corvette formerly used as the Moorhead police DARE car will be auctioned off Saturday at the city's impound auction.

The Police Department hopes to get about $4,000 for the Corvette, which has about 91,000 miles on it, Lt. Greg Anderson said.

The auction is at 10 a.m. at 700 15th Ave. N.

About 140 vehicles that have been impounded, seized or were owned by the city or Clay County will be sold.

Other found property, including about 150 bikes, will be for sale at the auction, Anderson said.
