Denver-based Frontier Airlines is returning to Fargo on May 12. The company - which previously served Fargo from 1994 to 1996 - will offer two outbound and two inbound flights daily.
The announcement was made during a press conference this morning at Fargo's International Airport.
The addition of Frontier could help bring down air fares by increasing competition, said Shawn Dobberstein, the airport's executive director.
United Airlines already provides Fargo-Denver service.
Improving air service at Hector has been a priority for local businesses, said Brian Walters, president of the Greater Fargo-Moorhead Economic Development Corp.
