DICKINSON, N.D. - Dickinson State University President D.C. Coston is in the running for the chancellor position at the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
UW System President Ray Cross announced five finalists for the position Wednesday after a nearly four-month search.
Wisconsin-Stout received its polytechnic designation in 2007, and whoever is selected will take the university to "the next level," said Nelu Ghenciu, head of the 21-member search committee
Coston and the other finalists will visit the campus this week and have a final interview May 21 with Cross and the University of Wisconsin System Board of Regents.
The new chancellor will succeed Charles W. Sorensen, who announced in December that he will retire in August after 26 years.
