Dilworth man injured in motorcycle accident

DOWNER, Minn. - A 27-year-old Dilworth man remains hospitalized after a motorcycle accident Sunday near Downer.

Levi Pender and his passenger, Cory Johnk, 25, of Maple Grove, were thrown from the bike when it went off a curve on County Road 10 and 130th Street just after 8:30 a.m., Sheriff Bill Bergquist said.

A caller who reported the accident said one of the men was unconscious and the other had a head injury but was walking around.

Pender was airlifted to MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, where he was listed in serious condition as of 1:13 p.m. today, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Johnk was treated at the hospital and released.

The accident remains under investigation.
