DILWORTH - The city of Dilworth has scheduled a public meeting at 7:30 tonight in the Dilworth Community Center to inform residents about flood protection options being considered by the Metro Flood Study Work Group.
The group will decide soon on a locally preferred option that will be either a diversion built on the North Dakota side of the Red River or a diversion on the Minnesota side near the Dilworth.
City officials said U.S Army Corps of Engineers officials will not be in attendance.
The corps has been instrumental in researching the costs and benefits of the various options being considered.
The community center is at 709 1st Ave. N.W.
