DILWORTH - A routine traffic stop Thursday, March 29, led Dilworth police to arrest two individuals allegedly in possession of marijuana and more than $17,000 in cash.

Officer Elias Hoversten stopped a vehicle with out-of-state plates for speeding, according to a post shared on the department's Facebook page. Hoversten noticed an odor of marijuana and subsequently found paraphernalia and cash before arresting the driver.

The department then obtained a search warrant of a local hotel room, leading to more evidence and the arrest of another individual.

Authorities have not identified the two arrested, nor the full amount of drugs seized.
