CHRISTINE, N.D. - A Grand Forks man was cited after a motorcycle accident Sunday in Richland County that left a West Fargo woman hospitalized.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, 34-year-old Daniel Lindblad drove through Christine on 58th Street, stopped at old Highway 81 and proceeded into the intersection.

Andrea Deschamp, 30, of West Fargo, was southbound on Highway 81 and saw Lindblad's Chevy pickup drive into the intersection but couldn't stop her Harley Davidson motorcycle in time, the patrol stated in a news release.

The vehicles collided in the middle of the intersection about a quarter-mile west of Christin, totaling the motorcycle and damaging the pickup's passenger side.

Deschamp was taken to MeritCare Hospital in Fargo for what patrol Sgt. Troy Hischer said was a minor hip injury. She was listed in satisfactory condition Tuesday afternoon, a hospital spokeswoman said.
