A 47-year-old man injured last week in a train-truck collision near Fisher, Minn., has died, according to the Hennepin County medical examiner's office in Minneapolis.
Robert Forsman, of Breezy Point, Minn., was surrounded by his family when he passed away Saturday evening at a Minneapolis hospital.
"He went very peacefully and very loved," Forsman's daughter wrote on a CaringBridge website dedicated to him. "We all miss him so much."
The crash left Forsman with brain damage and several broken bones, the site said.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Forsman was driving north in a tandem-axle truck loaded with sugar beets Thursday morning when the truck was struck by a westbound freight train.

The patrol said Forsman did not stop at the railroad crossing at 370th Avenue Southwest near the intersection with U.S. Highway 2 close to Fisher and about 11 miles east of East Grand Forks.
Forsman was taken by ambulance to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks and was later transported to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis where he had been listed in critical condition.
The medical examiner's office said Forsman did not undergo an autopsy and that his cause of death was not available. His death was ruled an accident, the office reported.
Forsman's funeral is scheduled for Friday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Crosslake, Minn. A visitation is set for 3 p.m., and services are to follow at 4 p.m.
