HARWOOD, N.D. - One man is in custody after allegedly rolling a vehicle, stealing another and crashing into the Sheyenne River.

West Fargo authorities say they were first called to a reported erratic driver who was speeding on the rim of his front tire on Seventh Avenue Northeast from 45th Street.

Tire markings on the roadway led officers into Fargo where Fargo police began the search.

Fargo officers later spotted the vehicle at 10th Street and 4th Avenue North where they initiated a stop and the driver fled.

West Fargo officers later spotted the vehicle and saw it roll several times near the 4300 block of 45th Street North. The driver then jumped out of the vehicle and allegedly stole another vehicle belonging to a construction worker in West Fargo. The driver swerved the vehicle at a West Fargo Officer and the pursuit continued.
The suspect then fled to Harwood on County Road 17 where he eventually drove through Oak Wood Cemetery and crashed the vehicle into the Sheyenne River.
