DULUTH, Minn. - The quick actions of staff at the Miller Hill Super One store likely saved a life Monday morning.
The Duluth Fire Department received an emergency call at 9:03 a.m. reporting that a man had collapsed and was found with no pulse and was not breathing.
As one Super One employee called for help, the other began performing CPR. They continued to perform CPR until emergency responders arrived. The two employees who provided this critical assistance were Rick Mrozic and Anne Hiti, according to a report from the Duluth Fire Department.
Firefighters used a defibrillator in an effort to re-establish a heartbeat. CPR continued as the patient was transferred by Gold Cross Ambulance, and the man was awake and talking by the time he reached the emergency room.
