Elizabeth Delvo
Elizabeth Delvo passed away peacefully at Merrill Gardens in Mesa, AZ, on July 6, 2003.
Elizabeth was born on April 22, 1910, in Langdon, ND, to Sam and Josephine (Kram) Lorenz. Elizabeth was the fourth of nine children. Elizabeth married Walter (Red) Delvo on September 12, 1931, right in the teeth of the depression. They raised livestock and farmed. They also tried their hand at operating nightclubs in Easby and Devils Lake, always returning to farming. Red and Elizabeth retired from active farming in 1968 and moved to Apache Junction, AZ.
Elizabeth is survived by: Jack (Jane), Fargo, ND; Gaylia Krebsbach (Jack), Mesa, AZ; Sam (Barbara), Bismarck, ND; and Jim (Norma), Morrison, CO; 16 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Elizabeth is also survived by one sister, Shirley Getty and one sister-in-law, Rhena Lorenz.
A memorial service will be held at St. Alphonsus Church in Langdon on September 17, 2003, at 2:00 PM. Following the memorial service, her ashes will be interred in Calvary Cemetery to rest in the family plot beside her beloved husband.
