Western Equestrian Summer Camp is set for July 27-29 at the University of Minnesota, Crookston.
Through hands-on experience, youths ages 13-18 will learn about grooming and proper tacking techniques, and get riding tips. Classroom activities include information on equine nutrition, health and basic management skills.
The camp, sponsored by UMC's Agriculture Department, costs $300 per person, which includes activities, meals and room and board.
