MOORHEAD - Action at the "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" site in Moorhead ramped up this morning with builders nearly finishing the basement walls by 11 a.m.
Tyrone Leslie, co-owner of Heritage Homes of Fargo, said the project was slightly behind schedule, but that work would speed up quickly with the pour-ing of cement and preparations made to hang support tresses on the basement.
The site at 803 22nd Ave. S. was a ballet of heavy construction equipment as carpenters and concrete experts moved their trucks and supplies in between two large cranes that were finishing up placing pre-fabricated concrete panels for the foundation.
Leslie said that by this afternoon and evening the first floor framing will be under way and by Wednesday morning work will begin on the second-floor framing.
