F-M area mosquito spraying planned by air

An aerial mosquito spraying is scheduled for Sunday and Monday in Fargo, West Fargo and urban fringe subdivisions in Cass County. The spraying will begin around 7 p.m. both nights, weather permitting.

The product is specifically designed for residential areas and will not harm people, pets or gardens, but residents should remain indoors during application, according to Airborne Custom Spraying.

Airborne Custom Spraying of Halstad, Minn., will be applying the chemical and conducting a pre-flight over the area today between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m.

The city of Moorhead will spray citywide to control mosquitoes on Monday night, weather permitting.

Spraying will begin at approximately 8 p.m. and should be completed by midnight.

As a general precaution, it is recommended that people not walk through the spray cloud, and do not allow children to follow the spray machines.
