James B. Faircloth has joined the senior management team at Alerus Financial Corp. and will direct all corporate branding and strategic marketing initiatives.
He recently assisted in the development of a brand-focused marketing curriculum at the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, and completed studies of marketing and branding at Buffalo Wild Wings, SoBe Beverages and Alerus Financial.
He graduated from Mississippi State University; the University of North Carolina, Wilmington; Pennsylvania State University; and the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
Faircloth served as an associate professor of marketing at UND and was also on the marketing faculty at the University of Wyoming. He was an assistant professor of marketing at UND from 1995 to 2000 and also served as director of entrepreneurship there from 1999 to 2000.
He has 20 years of experience in government and business management, including work in public transportation, city management and construction materials.
