Saturday is the first day candidates for two Fargo City Commission seats may begin circulating petitions, City Auditor Steve Sprague said.

Linda Coates and Mike Williams are both near the end of their first four-year terms.

Williams said he's planning to run again.

"We're having a lot of good progress in Fargo," he said, citing new libraries, an increase in public transit use and increased environmental efforts.

Coates said she is considering seeking re-election but has not made an announcement.
