Fargo forestry agency to inspect firewood

In an effort to manage the spread of Dutch elm disease, the Fargo Forestry Department will begin inspecting firewood this week at homes around the city.

In an effort to manage the spread of Dutch elm disease, the Fargo Forestry Department will begin inspecting firewood this week at homes around the city.

In Fargo, storing or transporting elm wood with bark attached is prohibited by city ordinance. To dispose of logs containing bark, place them on the boulevard by April 20 and notify the Forestry Department at (701) 241-1465 for pickup.
