A Fargo man was arrested early Saturday after allegedly pulling a knife and verbally threatening a passerby.

Fargo Police Sgt. Ross Renner said the incident happened around 1:48 a.m. in the 600 block of Sixth Avenue North.

The victim said he was walking when he met two men. One of the men asked him for a cigarette. After the victim gave the man a cigarette, the man became angry and pulled out a knife; there was a verbal exchange. The victim flagged down a police officer on patrol.

Christopher Berlin, 22, was arrested on suspicion of terrorizing, a Class C felony.
