A Fargo man has been charged in Clay County District Court with robbery and assault for a June 6 incident in Moorhead that left one man injured.
Ricky Ronald Rice, 39, faces charges of first-degree aggravated robbery, second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon and criminal vehicular operation resulting in great bodily harm.
Court records say Rice was driving another man from a Fargo bar to a Moorhead bar when he pulled out a knife and demanded the passenger's wallet.
The passenger hit Rice in the face and jumped from the moving vehicle, getting tangled in the seat belt. The car dragged him for several hundred feet across the First Avenue North bridge, police said.
The man was treated at Fargo's MeritCare Hospital for several cuts.
