FARGO - A Fargo man was charged Wednesday with sexually assaulting a female co-worker at his home early Tuesday morning.

Michael Truelove, 24, was charged in Cass County District Court with gross sexual imposition, a Class AA felony carrying a minimum mandatory sentence of 20 years, and terrorizing, interfering with an emergency call and aggravated assault, which are Class C felonies.

According to police, Truelove was in his apartment with his co-worker when he emerged from the bathroom naked and sexually assaulted her as she screamed for help.

He choked her to stop her from screaming and hung up her phone when she tried to call 911, police say.

His next court date is Nov. 11.
