FARGO - Police here believe a thief or thieves rolled a stolen car, then jumped the fence into a company's parking lot and stole a pickup, smashing it through the front gate.

The rollover accident was reported at 5:31 a.m. Saturday in the 1800 block of Great Northern Drive, by Northern Plumbing Supply. The car was found unoccupied and on its top, and police learned that it had been stolen, Sgt. Ross Renner said.

The car's driver apparently was going too fast and lost control on a curve in the road, he said.

The pickup was reported stolen at 12:36 p.m. Saturday from Praxair, about a block south of the accident scene.

As of this afternoon, police had no suspects and the gray Ford F-150 pickup hadn't been recovered, Renner said, noting the pickup should have front-end damage from smashing through the gate.
