Body found in Island Park

The Fargo Police Department identified a man whose body was found this morning in Island Park as Oliver Rayfield Eagleman, a 55-year-old resident of Moorhead.

Eagleman's body was found about 7:45 a.m. by a passerby on the west edge of the park.

There were no signs of violent trauma or indications of foul play, Lt. Pat Claus said.

An autopsy will be performed and the case remains under investigation, Claus said.

Authorities removed Eagleman's body, which appeared to be lying face up, around 9:20 a.m. from the snow in front of a ramp and some steps near the Jerry Scherling Court Complex.
