FARGO - Police here are investigating the death of a 28-year-old man found with an apparent stab wound early Sunday.
Officers responded at 1:38 a.m. to a 911 call about two males fighting. When officers arrived at 2608 Pacific Drive S., they found the victim with an apparent stab wound from a knife to his torso area, according to Lt. Joel Vettel.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not immediately released. The man possibly was homeless, Vettel said, and police still are trying to establish whether he had an address.
Officers detained one male for questioning. The two males appear to have known each other prior to the incident, but police still are investigating their histories.
"That's what we're trying to establish now," Vettel said. "The two individuals have a history. It certainly wasn't a random act of violence."

Police are interviewing others who were in the apartment at the time.
"It didn't appear to be a party," Vettel said. "There was no gathering, from what we can tell."
