Fargo police are investigating a report that a man entered a home and exposed himself next to a sleeping woman.
Authorities received a call at 1:35 a.m. Friday after someone in the residence went into the living room and spotted the man with his pants down standing next to a female sleeping on a couch, Sgt. Jeff Skuza said.
The man ran out the back door of the residence in the 2500 block of Arrowhead Road and escaped before police arrived. Attempts to track him with a canine unit were unsuccessful, Skuza said.
"He just hitched them up and boogied," he said.
Skuza called the incident rare, saying it is more common for authorities to receive reports of window peepers, but not of someone inside a home. He stressed that people should immediately report any window-peeping incidents, saying that unreported incidents could lead to more serious criminal activity.

"They get more and more bold," he said of window peepers.
The incident is still under investigation and authorities are looking for the man, described as a white man, about 25 years old, with blond hair and last seen wearing blue jeans.
