UPDATED 7:29 p.m.

FARGO - A Moorhead man involved in a crash in south Fargo this afternoon likely died from a medical condition while driving, Fargo police said.

Police were called to the 3200 block of 17th Avenue South about 2:30 p.m.

Paul R. Sande, 63, was westbound on 17th Avenue when his vehicle struck two other vehicles stopped at 32nd Street, according to police.

One vehicle had minor damage to the rear passenger side while the other sustained moderate damage to the rear passenger side.

Occupants of one of the struck vehicles reported minor injuries but were not taken to the hospital.

Sande was taken to Innovis Hospital in Fargo, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said an initial inves-tigation suggests Sande's health was a contributing factor to the crash and that his death was due to his health condition and not the accident.

The investigation remains open pending an autopsy, police said.
