Fargo police are investigating a weekend incident in which someone may have pointed a gun at two children in a south Fargo neighborhood.

Police said two 11-year-old boys were playing about 7:40 p.m. Saturday in the yard of a house in the 3000 block of 35th Avenue Southwest when a car drove up and stopped and someone stuck a rifle out the window.

A red dot, like one produced by a gun sight, appeared on each boy; after shining the dot on the boys for 10 to 15 seconds, the car sped off, police said.

Police said they have a suspect but no arrest has been made.
