FARGO - Fargo police ticketed 33 people for red light violations during a two-day enforcement campaign Tuesday and Wednesday.

The campaign focused on signalized intersections, including those known for high crash rates, high traffic volume and a lot of citizen complaints, such as 25th Street and 32nd Avenue South, 45th Street and 17th Avenue South and First Avenue North at University Drive.

A total of 56 citations were issued. In addition to the red light tickets, officers issued seven citations for registration violations, four for unlawful U-turns, four for speeding, two for driving under suspension and six for other violations, according to Lt. Joel Vettel.
