FARGO - Two pools closed here Thursday due to fecal matter found in them, according the Fargo Park District.

The district distributed a press release stating the Island Park Pool, 616 1st Ave. S., and the Southwest Recreational Pool, at the intersection of 18th Street and 15th Avenue South, would be cleaned and sanitized Thursday evening.

Both pools will be open during regular hours Friday.

No other details were immediately available.

Last year, the Island Park Pool closed after vandals discarded animal feces in it.
