Fargo Public Schools cancels Tuesday classes and after-school activities

Fargo Public Schools has just announced that all classes and after-school activities will be cancelled for Tuesday, because of the winter storm moving into our area.

The cancellations include kindergarten, preschool, the Catholic Schools Network, Oak Grove and Grace Lutheran.

A blizzard warning goes into effect at 7 a.m. Tuesday and will last until 1 a.m. Wednesday, the National Weather Service announced today. The storm could cover much of eastern North Dakota and northwestern Minnesota with 6 to 10 inches of new snow.

The storm is expected to create blizzard conditions with gusts of 25 to 35 mph making visibility poor for motorists due to blowing snow. It's also expected to bring dangerous wind chill values of 30- to 40- degrees below zero to the region, the weather service said.
