FARGO-Fargo School District voters went to the polls on March 7 and voted overwhelmingly to set the district's general fund levy limit at 127 mills.
On Monday, March 13, the Fargo School Board canvassed the vote and made it official, establishing for the record that 6,335 people voted "yes" on the mill levy question, while 2,276 voted no.
School district officials called the election to ask voters to approve setting the general fund levy at 127 mills, which would also return the district's ability to tax increases in property values at that same level.
A simple majority was needed for the measure to pass.
The 127-mill general fund levy can remain for up to 10 years.
