FARGO - A celebrated football coach and four Fargo South High School graduates will be inducted into the school's Hall of Fame in a ceremony at the school Sept. 20.
The 2013 Hall of Fame inductees include:
- Dale Hertel, a longtime football coach and teacher who guided the Bruins to eight state football championships.
Hertel was inducted into the North Dakota High School Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 1999 and the National High School Athletic Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2004. He is now the offensive coordinator for the Concordia College football team, and an assistant track and field coach at the college.
He is a three-time winner of the North Dakota High School Coach of the Year award.

- Brian Borchardt, an accomplished physical therapist and a co-owner of the Pediatric Therapy Partners clinic.
The 1991 South graduate played on two state football championship teams and later played football at the University of North Dakota.
He has a master's degree in physical therapy from UND.
- Dave Kolpack, a respected journalist in the region and correspondent with The Associated Press.
The 1978 South graduate started his newspaper career at The Forum during high school.
After full-time stints in Watertown, S.D., and Bismarck, he became a full-time sports columnist at The Forum. He joined the AP in 2001.
At South, he edited the yearbook and school newspaper and was a Northern Interscholastic Press Association Journalist of the Year.
- Maj. Micaela Bentson Brancato, a senior intelligence officer in the North Dakota Air National Guard.

Among her postings, she has served at the U.S. Air Force Academy as the executive officer in charge of training and as athletic director.
The 1996 South graduate was president of her class for three years and played on the 1994 Bruins girls basketball team that won a state championship.
- Tara Rheault, a top researcher and clinical investigative leader at the pharmaceutical firm GlaxoSmithKline.
The 1993 South graduate is listed as an inventor on seven small-molecule patents and has authored or co-authored eight scientific publications. She counts her greatest accomplishment as a drug that shows promise as a treatment for melanoma.
At South, she was a co-captain for the girls state championship basketball team in 1992.
The induction will include a 7 p.m. dinner and ceremony in the South High School commons. (The ceremony follows the football game between South and Fargo North High School.)
